FAQ about DTF Transfers

How do I press my transfer?

Transfer image by heat press set to 285F (verify actual temp of heating element to display temp.)

Press transfer using heavy even pressure for 10 secs (large prints may need an additional 5 seconds)

After 10 seconds rub transfer with towel to remove some heat

and remove film quickly while still warm.

Discard clear transfer sheet.

Press again at 285F for 10 seconds with Teflon sheet or parchment paper over top

to enhance softer hand feel and to improve washing durability.

What does "heavy even pressure" mean?

"Heavy pressure" means when you close the press to bottom platen of your heat press it may take a little effort to close. You can additionally tighten the press by

adjusting the height of the press downward.

Make sure to adjust press height for different thickness of materials.

"Even pressure" means to make sure that seams are out of the way of the pressing area this can be achieved by using press pillows as needed.
